Offering Christ's hope to youth and families
for over 50 years, in northern Canada and beyond.

Jay Weaver

As a young child I remember being intrigued with the Native American's and their way of life. I loved the way they hunted and fished and lived off the land to sustain themselves. I never dreamed I would get to work in and among them. In 2014 I felt God leading me to enroll in the PWTC program and through that I experienced life in modern Native American culture. This led to the opportunity to serve here long term and in April 2016 I joined the team here at NYP. I am grateful that God has lead me here and for the work He has been doing in my heart. I am also grateful for the great team of people I work with and the opportunities I get to be involved in ministry outside of my normal work.

I am the maintenance man here at HQ and have a wide range of responsibilities which include cutting the grass, plumbing and electrical work, and woodworking, most of which have been a real learning experience for me. I also enjoy the chance to get out and do border trips to Minnesota.

A few of my interest are hunting, fishing, camping, and pretty much anything to do outside. I love singing and spending time with friends.

And this I pray, that my love may abound yet more and more in knowledge and in all judgement; that I may approve things that are excellent; that I may be sincere and without offence till the day of Christ; being filled with the fruits of righteousness, which are by Jesus Christ, unto the glory and praise of God.

Philippians 1:9-11
